Moving to the Home
When you move into the home, we want your space to feel truly yours. You’ll be supported to decorate your bedroom in a way that feels comfortable and personal to you- whether that means choosing colours, posters, bedding or things that help make it feel like your own space.
You will also receive a Children’s Guide, which explains everything you need to know about the home, the routines, and the people who are here to support you. You’ll be given to two Key Workers- adults who will get to know you well, listen to you, and be there to help you settle in and feel understood.
If there is every something you’re unhappy about, you will be shown how to use our complaints procedure. You can always speak up, and we will always take your voice seriously.
Every month, you’ll have the chance to complete a Children’s Feedback Form, where you can share your thoughts about how things are going. You will also have regular time with the Manager, so you can talk about your views, feelings and any ideas you have to make the home better for you and others.
Your voice matters here – what you think and how you feel helps shape the home the support you receive.
Our staff are the familiar, friendly faces that greet the young people each day, offering a listening ear and a helping hand. Providing practical and emotional support, staff build positive, trusting relationships with young people. Dedicated key workers also bring a continuity of care.
